Choice TableThe VICKids Program Activities

The VICKids Program is an interactive program where kids participate in age-appropriate activities.

The "Choice Table" is an activity that helps teach children at a young age about the importance of eating and choosing healthy snacks.

5 A Day StoryKids also have the opportunity to help the tour leaders tell a story. That story is the "5 a Day Story". Though research scientists and medical doctors have learned how important it is for a child's development to eat at least 5 to 9 fresh fruits and vegetables everyday. Fruits and vegetables help children to grow tall, run fast, jump high, be smart and stay healthy plus so many other important activities.

Eat A Rainbow

Kids are also given the oppurtunity to see what it would be like to "Eat A
Rainbow". This activity also promotes children choosing a colorful variety of five fruits and vegetables.

Lab Experiment

Also included is a tour the laboratories where the VFIC research takes place. Children are shown examples of the research to improve or develop new fruits and vegetables.
