Fruits & vegetables are a great source of fiber and the antioxidant nutrient, vitamin C. Be sure to take a look at the Rainbow's End to see why these are needed by your body.


Yellow fruits & vegetables also have several other important nutrients and phytochemicals.

 

LemonYellow citrus fruits (and orange also) contain a number of phytochemicals that can protect against cancer. Some of these phytochemicals can act as antioxidants and some can actually prevent cancer-causing substances from getting into your body.

 

SquashCorn and squash are rich sources of a phytochemical that can help prevent blindness and may also protect against some cancers. This phytochemical is what gives these vegetables their yellow color! Squash also is a good source of beta-carotene, an antioxidant. Remember beta-carotene can be converted to vitamin A which is necessary for good vision, a strong immune system and healthy skin.Pineapple
